Transparency

Access to agile and clear mechanisms to legitimize the activity, promoting access to information and open communication.

Environmental control of mining activities
- Inspection, monitoring, supervision and control of the execution of mining projects by the Directorate of Provincial Mining and the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change
- 98 ex officio inspections by the mining police in 2024
- More than 1,500 environmental monitoring points for water, soil, air, flora and fauna quality are currently in place throughout the province.
Participation of indigenous peoples
- Participatory Environmental Monitoring: 80 in 2023, 125 in 2024.
- Constant accompaniment by the Secretariat of Indigenous Peoples.
- 273 communities currently have legal status.
- More than 50 communities participating in mining projects.
Public consultation
When submitting a project to the application authority, the process of prior, free and informed consultation must be accredited when there are communities involved, as well as the participation of the municipality or the municipal commission and the superficiaries.
(Art. 84, Decree 7751).
